Manar Maged was born with two heads. The second head protruding from her own was that of her conjoined twin whose body developed no further than a compacted thorax.
Although it had no lungs and couldn’t breathe, the second head displayed signs of independent consciousness. It blinked, tried to suckle and even smiled and cried. Manar’s condition is an extremely rare birth defect that has only occurred 10 times in medical history. This film depicts the extraordinary life of Manar Maged and features the operation to remove her second head.
